Make Stuff
I’m deeply interested in robotics and the intersection of engineering (software, mechanical, electrical) and design.
I’ve created an online curriculum for myself and I’ve enjoyed taking classes on Coursera or FutureLearn. I plan on completing the Coursera Robotics specialization offered by Penn.
Robotics: Aerial Robotics by University of Pennsylvania on Coursera. Certificate earned on Wednesday, July 5, 2017.
Introducing Robotics: Robotics and Society by Queensland University of Technology on FutureLearn. Certificate earned on May 13, 2017.
I have been enjoying developing new skills and learning new things in the process.
I had never used Matlab before but both the Aerial Robotics and the Computational Motion Planning courses relied heavily on it. It was a fun thing to learn.
I was exposed briefly to generic algorithms in engineering school, but I was glad to visit new ones in the Computational Motion Planning course.
I have yet to dive deeply into ROS (something I plan on doing after reaching a good level of proficiency in Python) but I’ve started experimenting with it through a TurtleBot3.
I’ve been blogging about my learning and experimenting.
